Welcome to September 2026.  A new season of local exhibits to attend.

1.  McCord Gallery, Palos Park, - Illinois Members of the Portrait Society of America have band together to show case their portraits.  I have two portraits accepted into the show -Events 

2.  The Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles is showing 40 of my paintings, with a scheduled reception on Wednesday evening, September 16th from 6-8pm more details in the Events.  Please stop by to say hello.

3.  The Norris Cultural Arts Center, St. Charles is once again doin Vicinity 2026, an annual celebration of local artists who live within 50 miles of the gallery.

Artist Reception Scheduled for Sunday August 10th.  One of My oil pastel paintings is included in this exhibit which goes from August 2nd -26th, 2025 at the Dupage Art League in Wheaton IL.

 Pleased to announce my entry won third place in "The Best of the Best" Exhibit this month. ...and the work was also sold.                           

Check out the classes in pastel and oil pastel at the Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, IL. or at the Dupage Art League in Wheaton.  We will study the attributes of what makes a good pastel painting, along with the preferred presentation techniques needed when exhibiting and showcasing your finished artwork.  Whether you are a beginner or have been working with pastels for a while, this class provides an opportunity to mingle and work alongside other pastel painters of various skill levels.  Carol provides both formal and one-on-one teaching in a studio setting with weekly critiques at the end of every class period all designed to enrich your knowledge and skill-set for pastel painting.  It is a nurturing environment designed for all levels and for quick success.
