I was recently invited to show some of my paintings in a new exhibition called "Garden Spell", a show reflecting the magic of all things green and growing, currently showing at the Old Court House Arts Center in Woodstock, IL. Four of my landscapes were placed in the gallery along with many others. The artist reception was held on June 23rd in conjunction with two other smaller exhibtions called "spirit of the Land" , a group called The Plein air Painters of Illinois and another small exhibit called The Art of Main Stay, showcasing artwork featuring the Main Stay Farm and therapeutic Riding Program.
One of my paintings shown above "Fall comes to Fabyan" was prominently placed and looked grand hanging all by itself as we came in the room and....
my cousin Nancy Schwab, who lives in Woodstock stopped by especially to say hello. We don't get to see each other very often and it was so much fun to see and catch up with what she is doing ....giving architectural tours of the down town Chicago area....how cool is that. Thanks for coming to see us Nancy. It was so nice to get in a visit.
For more information about this lovely exhibition visit http://www.oldcourthouseartscenter.com/ or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The show is up through August.

Attended the Bob Burridge Workshop "Loosen Up" - July, 20012 - St. Charles, sponsored by The Fine Line Creative Arts Center. I recommend this to any artist/painter who needs to become aware of the paint more than the subject matter. Bob is a wonderful instructor and provides an intense 4 days of work and enjoyable learning about how to become a successful artist. Contact him to learn more, or to register for a class in your area.
